About Madurai Agri Business Incubation Forum (MABIF)
Madurai Agribusiness Incubation Forum (MABIF), An Initiative of NABARD & TNAU, has been actively fostering agribusiness entrepreneurship across Tamil Nadu for over 6+ years. MABIF has successfully incubated 472 enterprises and enrolled 547 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) across the state. Additionally, MABIF is also handholding 25 FPOs under Central Sector Scheme, GoI through NABARD. In addition to this, MABIF has facilitated the filing of 138 trademarks, 20 patents, and 61 Geographical Indications (GIs) while continuously promoting awareness of intellectual property rights among the Startups and the farming community in the state of Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu State Agricultural Marketing Board (TNSAMB), GoTN has entrusted MABIF for facilitating the registration of 40 Agri GI products under agricultural budget, in which GI certification has been obtained for 7 products. Also, MABIF has initiated the MABIF Products Promotional Centre (MABIF PPC), an exclusive centre for promoting the products of FPOs, Startups and GI products.

*Madurai Agribusiness Incubation Forum (MABIF)* successfully organized a *"Training on Indoor Saffron Cultivation"* on 23rd May 2025 at the Agricultural College & Research Institute, TNAU Campus, Madurai. The program was inaugurated by *Dr. P. P. Mahendran, Dean, AC&RI – Madurai*, with an inspiring opening note setting the tone by *Er. K. Ganesh Moorthy K, ED & CEO, NABARD MABIF*. From understanding the GI-tagged Kashmir saffron cultivation techniques to exploring future thrusts in saffron farming and value addition, the session offered deep insights for aspiring Agri-entrepreneurs, Students, Farmers and growers. 💡 *Key Highlights:* 🔸 *Dr. M.
