*#NEWS* ⚠️🚧 *University Library: Restrictions due to construction work in June and July* From *2 June to 25 July 2025*, construction work will take place in the University Library, which will require extensive closures of the lower floors of the library and the lift. During this time, the library will only be open on the top floor. Users can access the library via the staircase outside the university library. People with mobility impairments can use the lift in the main building (east wing, behind the cafeteria on the left). Particularly in the first half of June, there will be noisy work between around 8.00 am and 4.30 pm. Due to the restrictions, the library is liberalising book loans in June and July. You will find more information in a timely manner on the Library website (https://www.ub.europa-uni.de) under the heading "News".

*#SUPPORT* *🌈 June is Pride Month!* Once again this year, the rights and visibility of queer people will be promoted. This includes a conscious and respectful choice of words. The recommendation for gender-sensitive wording has been adapted and updated at the Viadrina since 2016 to reflect changes in language usage. ℹ️ The Presential Board has therefore now decided that in documents in which the Viadrina communicates officially as an overall institution - for example study and examination regulations or annual reports - gender-sensitive wording will be mandatory in future. The personal use of language by Viadrina members is excluded from this.
