Good Morning Team! Another day, another stride! 👟🌅 Let’s get out there with strong minds, steady feet, and full water bottles. The road is calling! ✅ Pre-Run Prep Checklist: *Hydrate early*– Start sipping water ahead of time. *Fuel smart*– Light snack like a banana or toast works best. *Warm up right*-Think leg swings, lunges, or a light jog. *Dress for the weather*– breathable layers you can move in. It’s winter, but you’ll warm up fast during those 5km and 10km runs, so avoid overdressing. *Set your intention*– Whether it’s pace, distance, or mindset — lock it in. 🚫 Pre-Run No-Gos: *Skipping warm-up*– Cold muscles = higher injury risk. *Heavy meals*– Avoid feeling sluggish or crampy mid-run. *Too many layers*- You’ll overheat fast once you’re moving. *New shoes or gear*– Stick to what you know and love on run day. New items can surprise you in ways you don’t want mid-run! *Smoking or vaping*– These can affect your breathing and recovery. Give your lungs the best chance to support your run. *Pay attention to your body’s alerts*- Don’t ignore the signs. Taking a break can be the smartest move for long-term progress. **🏃‍♂️ 10KM Route (from the top of Westcliff stairs):** ➡️ **Left at the top** of the stairs and head downhill ➡️ Keep left ➡️ Right onto **Pallinghurst Road** ➡️ Left onto **The Valley Road** ➡️ Right onto **Jan Smuts Avenue** ➡️ Left onto **Sherborne Road** ➡️ Continue past the hospital ➡️ Right onto **Oxford Road** ➡️ Curve left onto **St David’s Place** ➡️ Cross over **St Andrews Road** ➡️ Left onto **Wellington Road** ➡️ Right onto **Empire Road** ➡️ Run down the **left side** of Empire ➡️ Right onto **Owl Street** ➡️ Return to **Stanley Studios**

**🏃‍♀️ Our 5KM Walk/Run Route:** Start at **Stanley Avenue** ➡️ Left onto **Owl Street** ➡️ Cross over **Empire Road** ➡️ Right at the circle (second exit) ➡️ Left onto **Westcliff Lane** ➡️ Left onto **Waterfall Road** ➡️ Right onto **Carlow Veg** ➡️ Keep right on Carlow Veg ➡️ Left onto **Westcliff Drive** 📍 *2.8km mark: near the stairs* ➡️ Right onto **Kildare Avenue** ➡️ Right onto **Naxwil Laan** 📍 *3.4km mark: by the stairs* ➡️ Go **up the stairs** (approx. 250m) ➡️ Right at the top and head down ➡️ Left onto **Palala Road** ➡️ Right onto **The Valley Road** ➡️ Left onto **Westcliff Drive** ➡️ Left onto **Loch Avenue** ➡️ First exit at the circle (left) onto **Owl Street** ➡️ Left back onto **Stanley Avenue**
