The road is calling! ✅ Pre-Run Prep Checklist: *Hydrate early*– Start sipping water ahead of time. *Fuel smart*– Light snack like a banana or toast works best. *Warm up right*-Think leg swings, lunges, or a light jog. *Dress for the weather*– breathable layers you can move in. It’s winter, but you’ll warm up fast during those 5km and 10km runs, so avoid overdressing. *Set your intention*– Whether it’s pace, distance, or mindset — lock it in. 🚫 Pre-Run No-Gos: *Skipping warm-up*– Cold muscles = higher injury risk. *Heavy meals*– Avoid feeling sluggish or crampy mid-run. *Too many layers*- You’ll overheat fast once you’re moving. *New shoes or gear*– Stick to what you know and love on run day. New items can surprise you in ways you don’t want mid-run! *Smoking or vaping*– These can affect your breathing and recovery.
