Today wisdom speaks in the gravity of pride before the Lord. Before now we’ve heard that God resists the proud (Jas. 4:6) and it’ll be safe to say this is the reason, because it is an abomination before Him —even as seen in today’s Dose. When a thing is an abomination, a sacrilege or a taboo there’s a reason it is seen as such and that is because it habours the ability to defile and desecrate. Every entity abhors anything that desecrates it and does all within its ability to resist and have nothing to do with it. So it is with God towards a proud heart. It is a taboo before Him, so he will not hold guiltless anything or anyone who is found with it. The consequences therefore is that he will surely punish the one who is of a proud heart. What makes it even more grave is that He says “Though hand join in hand” they still cannot undo evade the punishment. This phrase seeks to emphasize that despite the great power that exist in unity, on this matter no amount of hands joining together can prevail against the judgement of God against the proud. The only way out, therefore, is to stay truly humble and avoid pride in any manner shape or form. Let the mind of Christ, the mind of humility be in you. Happy Father’s Day. on this special day we celebrate the gift of fatherhood to mankind. It is true that without a father we all would be in one way or the other less of who we are today or wouldn’t even be at all. Whether it is a biological father, a Forster father, a spiritual father, godfather, school father or any other kind of father, one thing holds true; fathers are them who truly want to see you better than them in every aspect. For this reason it is important as we mark today; a day chosen to celebrate fathers that we remember such thing as is needed to make glad and proud that one man who’s greatest desire is to see you not suffer what he suffered and to see you scale higher heights than he did. Wisdom is therefore the way to accomplish this as mentioned by the wise king Solomon in our today’s Dose. When you’re wise, you gladden the heart of that father figure (irrespective of the kind of father —amongst the ones listed above—he is to you). Even so, our greatest father is the Almighty. He’s the Heavenly Father; and true wisdom comes from the fear of Him; that’s both how to make Him glad and also to obtain wisdom to make every other earthly father glad. Therefore, in the words of the preacher man in Eccl. 12:13; *fear God & obey His command, this is the whole duty of man.* #DDW #DailyDoseofWisdom #Wisdom Follow DDW initiative on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/officiall_ddw?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA== And of course Twitter: https://twitter.com/ddwofficia?s=21 Also follow our WhatsApp channel here: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaFEoVC6xCSWdYEsqQ1i

Today’s Dose of Wisdom is vehement about diligence in each and every area of one’s endeavor. It says to do whatever your hand finds to do with all your might —let there be no spare— Do it to the very best of your abilities, paying attention to every detail. A certain wise man would say; you should only stop on two occasions: when there is absolutely no work left to be done or when there’s no might left in you at all. Mind you, scripture is giving the reason why you should make sure to exhaust all your might, giftings, talents, and abilities here with the endeavors your hand has find. It speaks of where every man goes after taking their last breath: Sheol, Grave or Hades has no need for those abilities in you and it won’t be needed there. So, it’s wise to utilize all your abilities here in the land of the living. In light of this, one man of wisdom once said “the graveyard is the richest place on earth” he went on to explain why, and that’s because all the great things that the world never saw were taken there, the insight and wisdom for the greatest inventions which were never expended, the great books that were never written, the beautiful songs that were never sung, you name it, they’re all there. Now what wisdom is saying to you today is that you shouldn’t take your own wealth and impact to the graveyard, put them to use here and let the living be blessed by it. Since the world is experiencing a steady decline in character and that exuberance is heightened daily in our world, it is therefore such a luxury of blessedness for any nation who can still find an upright nobleman for a leader. Today’s Wisdom also seek to throw some illumination on the actual use of food and drink. Though sweet to the tastebuds, food is not meant to be consumed for pleasurous indulgence. Rather, it is to be taken for the nourishment and dietary requirements for strength and balance. When this is abused it leads to gluttony and debauchery. When a person is intentionally indulging in the consumption of unbalanced diets, junk abuse, and unhealthy tasty foods it is comparable with drunkenness and substance abuse for it does same damage to the body which is the Lord’s temple. Point of Application: while we speak of the blessedness of the land that has its leaders eschew sinful eating and drinking habits, while we all yet pray for such kings to emerge, it is important that we become such for ourselves. For everyman ought, first to be king and ruler over his own vessel and body (See also Pro. 25:28). Therefore I charge you to make judicious use of food and not harm the nation you carry within with unethical eating & drinking. #DDW #DailyDoseofWisdom #Wisdom Follow DDW initiative on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/officiall_ddw?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA== And of course Twitter: https://twitter.com/ddwofficia?s=21 Also follow our WhatsApp channel here: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaFEoVC6xCSWdYEsqQ1i

Due to certain revolutions that have occurred overtime in the thought process and motivation and culture of our minds, for example such that birthed popular cliché like “don’t work hard—work smart”, it may seem a bit controversial to contemplate on the scripture like the one we’re considering today that says hard work pays, while demeaning get rich quick innovations. How ever it it’s important to note these facts. Even when we say smart work is better than hard work, it shouldn’t lead to any kind of debate how that genuine, sustainable, explainable & unquestionable streams of income are way to be considered more noble than chasing shadows or following fraudulent paths. the strong unequivocal charge of Wisdom today is that you should despise wealth of vanity. Rather strive for a sure, heaven endorsed source. #DDW #DailyDoseofWisdom #Wisdom Follow DDW initiative on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/officiall_ddw?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA== And of course Twitter: https://twitter.com/ddwofficia?s=21 Also follow our WhatsApp channel here: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaFEoVC6xCSWdYEsqQ1i

The Lord hates partiality in judgment, for he’s a just judge of all. More so, he abhors wickedness and according to scripture, He’s of a pure eyes and cannot stand nor behold evil. (See Hab. 1:13). to imagine that the One who hates partiality (even towards the upright), yet detests wickedness and is the One that’ll judge all flesh, is enough information to know not to show respect or favor to the wicked. For if He weren’t indeed the judge of all, it would have been possible to escape whatever the wrath of His anger against this evil is. But seeing that all flesh shall come to Him, and that He shall judge all things and bring to remembrance all things, then you should know not to incur His disdain. There’re at least three lessons to learn from this Dose today; the first is to learn to be fair and just at all times while standing in the place of a judge, it could be on trivial matters like who dance better between friends. The next is a call for upright and righteous dealings at all times. For when you are so doing, you can be rest assured that even though any man intend to be biased against you, you have a just judge who’ll judge between you and them all. And He always make His war and judgement on the ground of righteousness (see Rev. 19:11). The third lesson would be to flee every form of wickedness. For even though by any means you’re able to gain the favour of any human judge and gather many unjust men to exonerate you from the consequences of wickedness, their joint force will certainly avail not. For scripture says though hand join in hand the wicke shall notgo unpunished (Pro. 11:21). #DDW #DailyDoseofWisdom #Wisdom Follow DDW initiative on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/officiall_ddw?igsh=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA== And of course Twitter: https://twitter.com/ddwofficia?s=21 Also follow our WhatsApp channel here: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaFEoVC6xCSWdYEsqQ1i

It is expected of every rational person to possess a certain degree of self control even in the face of offence and provocation. If this is true for every average man, it therefore means that the bar is raised for him that identifies as Wise or prudent. On the other hand the one who holds no resistance to blurting out and foaming up at the slightest provocation is not wise. In his impulsive reaction he says things he’ll later wish he never said and does things he’ll later regret doing. This is because he act and speaks before thinking. Please what, besides this, is the definition of foolishness!? Also, anyone who has been found and proven overtime to be full of evil crafts and wicked scheme will be hated and despised. Wise one, it is therefore meet that you put your impulses under control and develop a rigid mechanism to contain your own anger, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools. (see Eccl. 7:9). It is also august prudence to desist from evil schemings. For both the people and the Lord hates such. “Spend am; another one go come!” these are words that can proceed only from the mount of a foolish man. Oh! he maybe not necessarily be a total fool in all areas, but in the matter of management, anyone that makes such statements or have such mindset, especially in an extreme form, is not so wise. The scripture here is describing two kinds of people by their lot, he calls one Wise and the other foolish. What qualifies the one as wise in this sense is the fact that he has a lot of desirable treasures and oil in his store. When we inverse that, it means what guarantees him to have so much of such treasures is his wisdom and this is reflected in his ability to spend wisely and have a fattened store of savings. As for the other which is tagged foolish, it wasn’t even needful to mention the state of his store but all that was mentioned is that he spends up everything he gets. If you’re still asking whether or not there is anything valuable in his store then you’re looking for trouble. Oga! They said he spends it all up. The lesson to learn from this Dose is to prioritize saving. eating up all your earnings will leave you needy any moment anything unforeseen comes at you. And you will be found begging, which is not a very noble state be in. But if you are disciplined enough to spend and save; you’ll have abundance of possession to tackle everything that comes your way and even spare to those in need.
