*Chapter* *11* : [ _Festus_ ' _POV_ ] The show had finally ended and I was standing with the others waiting for Julia to come meet us. As we stood there, I got a text from Julia to meet her in front of the stage. I guessed that was where our plan comes to life. I quickly rushed to my car, after excusing myself from the others, to get the flower I bought on my way to the event. When I got there, Julia was still in her elements and she was looking breathtaking as before. She was taking pictures with her colleagues and friends. I took a deep breath and walked up to her to present the flower to her. " Hello, my love", I smiled and hugged her as I got close making the people around gasp and murmur. "Hii! ",She acted surprised as her face lit up with a smile. " I didn't think you could make it", she added. " I wouldn't have missed it for the world" , I played along. " Congratulations. You did amazing up there. I couldn't take my eyes off you. You were mesmerizing", I laid the words out as lovingly as possible and gave her the flowers. She gasped and hugged me again as she said 'thank you'. Even though I didn't get why we had to put on that show, it felt quite pleasing to see her smile like that. " Julia? ", a male voice came from behind us. " Hi Joshua" , Julia replied when she saw the person. She swiftly wrapped her hands around my arm and gave him a wide smile. " Ella told me you were our here so I came to see and congratulate you. You were great out there. Who is this if I may ask?" he questioned as he eyes scanned me from top to bottom. I then realized that he was the reason we had to put on that show. " Oh pardon my manners. Meet Festus my boyfriend, the one I told you about earlier. Babe, this is Joshua a senior colleague of mine", Julia introduced and I brought out my hand to shake his. His grip was firm but I did not quiver, I matched his strength. He smiled but his eyes were cold. " Nice meeting you ", I said. " Same here", he replied and excused himself to leave. I brought my gaze back to Julia and she looked very relieved. " Thank you very much ", Shs whispered with a faint smile. I nodded and told her that it was nothing. She introduced me to friend, Ella while she explained the whole situation which happen with the colleague. Ella was glad that at least he would stop pestering her. According to them, the guy has been frustrating Julia's life on campus ever since she arrived. I was glad to be of help to her. " What are friends for? ", I stated while she continued to thank me.

*_Nurtured_* *_Affection_* Dressed in a beautiful sleeveless floral blue dress, with her braids held in a neat ponytail and shimmering black heels, Sarah sat on her bed with her handbag in one hand and her phone in another, she got a call from Samuel telling her, they had arrived. " Tess, they are here! ", she called out to Tessa who was picking a bottle of water from the fridge in the kitchen. Tessa was looking elegant in a yellow jamsuit which complimented her figure. Her feet was adorned with a glittering pair of black heels that made her look taller. She held in her hand a cute yellow purse that crowned her whole look. She came out with Sarah to meet them. Upon arriving, they realised, they came in different cars instead of one. " Why are you in different rides? ", Sarah questioned as she greeted Samuel with a hug and said hi to Seth. Tessa also gave them a suspicious look as Seth gave her a royal kiss at the back of her hand. " Go on, explain ", Seth directed it towards Samuel. Urging him on to explain since that was what was initially agreed. Samuel gave a sigh and then began to speak. " So.. Initially, we were supposed to come with one ride but we got late and Festus said he had a prior engagement to attend. Therefore we couldn't come together. And also I have something to do with Sarah after the program so, yeah. That was what happened ", he expounded. " You guys are so unbelievable! ", Tessa was surprised at their childishness making Seth point to Samuel in blame showing he was not to be blamed. The girls blew it off and requested them to get going since they were already running late. " We will discuss this later but for now let's get going before we miss the entire show", Tessa said and they all got into their respective rides to set off.

_Nurtured_ _Affection_ *Chapter* *10* : [ _Festus' PoV]_ I got there right in time for the program. They had called upon the drama team to perform the drama. During the whole time the drama began I was not paying full attention to it. But I immediately gave my full attention when it was a scene with Julia in it. Not because I was only interested in Julia (even though I wasn't familiar with the other actors) but because she had this aura or let's say she had charisma for the role. She was a natural. She acted flawlessly. She caught the attention of everyone whenever she was in the scene. I'm not surprised she was made the female main character; she was just perfect for the role. During the music interlude before the final scene, I checked my phone and found messages from both Seth and Samuel. They arrived an hour ago and they were sitting behind me but not too close to me. I turned and saw them. They waved at when they realised I've seen them. After which I turned to watch the drama as the last scene had began. It was now time for the main characters to act their last part. The male lead walked onto the stage in his lavish tuxedo as he awaited the arrival of the female lead, who was Julia. I was awestricken as she walked onto the stage with poise and confidence, her elegant attire commanding attention. Her floor-length evening gown was a stunning shade of emerald green, perfectly complementing her porcelain skin. The fitted, strapless bodice showcased her toned shoulders and accentuated her delicate neck. The flowing silk chiffon skirt cascaded down her legs like a waterfall, its subtle sheen catching the light with every movement. A delicate silver belt encircled her slender waist, adding a touch of sophistication to her overall look. Her raven-black hair was styled in loose, flowing waves that framed her heart-shaped face, drawing attention to her bright, expressive brown eyes. A sprinkling of subtle, shimmering highlights danced across her cheekbones, lending an ethereal glow to her complexion. Around her neck, a delicate silver pendent glinted, its intricate design echoing the patterns on her gown. Her ears were adorned with chandelier earrings that sparkled like diamonds, adding a touch of glamour to her overall appearance. Her hands were gloved in long, white satin gloves that reached up to her elbows, adding a vintage touch to her look. Her shoes were high-heeled, emerald-green stilettos that perfectly matched her gown, their slender straps wrapping elegantly around her ankles. Overall, she exuded refinement,poise and effortless elegance, her stunning attire making her the epitome of glamour and sophistication. I could not bring myself to take my attention from her. The next thing I heard was applause from the audience signalling the end of the show and I doubt I even heard anything from that last scene because all I could think of and pay attention to was Julia. Joining the audience, the applause lasted until the characters left the stage as the curtains drew down.

Chapter 9: In the boys apartment, Samuel was eating while Seth was ironing his shirt while watching a football game on TV. " Is Festus still sleeping? ", Seth asked since Festus has not come out of the room since morning. " I think so, when he came out this morning he complained of experiencing a severe headache. So he went in to rest after taking a painkiller", Samuel answered while munching his food. " Will he be able to make it to the program this evening? ", Seth wondered. " I can't really tell but he was saying something about going to the program. I think we can get an answer to that from him, judging from the situation ", Samuel suggested. " I'm going to check if he is still sleeping ", Seth stopped ironing and walked to Festus' room. When he entered, he called out his name and tapped him but he didn't respond so he figured he was still not feeling well. He then turned to leave but Festus spoke showing he had woken up. " What time is it?", He asked with eyes closed. Seth turned and checked the time on the clock in the room. " It's 6:15pm", Seth answered. " 6:15?!! OH SHIT! I will be late! ",his eyes widen in shock. He jumped from the bed and rushed to the bathroom to shower. " Hey why are you in such a hurry. Are you feeling better now? ", Seth was surprised with how actions. Within a few minutes he came out and entered his closet to change. " Why didn't any of the you wake me up? ", Festus questioned. " Well, Samuel said you were not feeling well so we decided to allow you rest", Seth answered sitting on the bed. " It was nothing serious and I'm now okay. I'm now going to be late for the program", he complained. " The program will start at 6:30 so we will just be in time. What's the hurry. Are you the one starting the program? Or you have a prior engagement? ", Seth asked suspiciously. Festus came out of the closet and picked up his phone. He quickly typed a message to someone and placed the phone back on the bed while ignoring Seth's question. " What are you guys talking about? ", Samuel entered the room. " Are you feeling okay now? ", Samuel added directing it to Festus. " He is feeling very well now. Can't you see? He is even almost done dressing", Seth answered instead. " Instead of you two standing here questioning why I'm rushing, why don't you get ready. I'm sure the girls are done and their waiting for us so why don't you two get ready quickly and join me", Festus responded stating the obvious. " Okay, okay, we will get ready", Seth threw his hands up in surrender and stood to go get ready. " Wait! Whose car are we using?", Samuel inquired making Seth stop in his tracks. " Why don't we use my car.", Seth suggested. " No, I don't think that will work. I would like to go somewhere after the program so I would want to send mine", Festus interjected. " What do you have to do that you want to go alone? Is it a date? With Julia? Is that why you wanted to go early? ", Seth rumbled on but Festus stayed silent without answering any of the questions. " This guy is beginning to become sneaky. You are definitely hiding something. Something is definitely going on between you two", Samuel joined in. " You can believe whatever you want to. What's the plan now?", Festus left them in the dark and changed the subject. " Since Festus is using his car, I would also want to use mine", Samuel decided leaving Seth with no option than to also use his. "I have a feeling I know why you want to go alone", Seth suspected. " Oh, don't give me that look. Is it a crime to want to spend some alone time with my fiancee. Don't make it look like we are betraying you. On the brighter side you also get to be alone with Tess. You two can even go on a date afterwards", Samuel coaxed Seth into agreeing with him. " Okay, okay, I get it now but if we are asked why we came to pick them up separately, you will be the one to answer. Keep that in mind", Seth clarified and got up to go get ready with Samuel following suit. But during that time, Festus was ready to go so he told them he was taking the lead and that they should come when they were done.
