*Chapter* *11* : [ _Festus_ ' _POV_ ] The show had finally ended and I was standing with the others waiting for Julia to come meet us. As we stood there, I got a text from Julia to meet her in front of the stage. I guessed that was where our plan comes to life. I quickly rushed to my car, after excusing myself from the others, to get the flower I bought on my way to the event. When I got there, Julia was still in her elements and she was looking breathtaking as before. She was taking pictures with her colleagues and friends. I took a deep breath and walked up to her to present the flower to her. " Hello, my love", I smiled and hugged her as I got close making the people around gasp and murmur. "Hii! ",She acted surprised as her face lit up with a smile. " I didn't think you could make it", she added. " I wouldn't have missed it for the world" , I played along. " Congratulations. You did amazing up there. I couldn't take my eyes off you. You were mesmerizing", I laid the words out as lovingly as possible and gave her the flowers. She gasped and hugged me again as she said 'thank you'. Even though I didn't get why we had to put on that show, it felt quite pleasing to see her smile like that. " Julia? ", a male voice came from behind us. " Hi Joshua" , Julia replied when she saw the person. She swiftly wrapped her hands around my arm and gave him a wide smile. " Ella told me you were our here so I came to see and congratulate you. You were great out there. Who is this if I may ask?" he questioned as he eyes scanned me from top to bottom. I then realized that he was the reason we had to put on that show. " Oh pardon my manners. Meet Festus my boyfriend, the one I told you about earlier. Babe, this is Joshua a senior colleague of mine", Julia introduced and I brought out my hand to shake his. His grip was firm but I did not quiver, I matched his strength. He smiled but his eyes were cold. " Nice meeting you ", I said. " Same here", he replied and excused himself to leave. I brought my gaze back to Julia and she looked very relieved. " Thank you very much ", Shs whispered with a faint smile. I nodded and told her that it was nothing. She introduced me to friend, Ella while she explained the whole situation which happen with the colleague. Ella was glad that at least he would stop pestering her. According to them, the guy has been frustrating Julia's life on campus ever since she arrived. I was glad to be of help to her. " What are friends for? ", I stated while she continued to thank me.
