This project builds on a successful 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 at Queen Square, London, where 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐈 was shown to improve both surgical performance and patient outcomes in 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲. With early feasibility demonstrated, we are now moving toward 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞-𝐮𝐩, with a focus on 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞-𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐋𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐬). We are seeking institutions that meet the following 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚: ● Perform at least one transsphenoidal pituitary surgery per month. ● Have at least two consultant-level neurosurgeons involved in pituitary surgery. ● Are in a low- or middle-income country (as per World Bank classification). ● Do not currently have an existing video-based surgical coaching program.
