𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓: 𝐀𝐈-𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞: 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟕, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 The Operating Room Global (TORG), in collaboration with 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 (𝐔𝐂𝐋) Department of Neurosurgery and the 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 (𝐒𝐃𝐒𝐂), 𝐔𝐒𝐀 is pleased to invite expressions of interest from institutions interested in 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘱𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘐-𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘳-𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮. This project builds on a successful 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 at Queen Square, London, where 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐀𝐈 was shown to improve both surgical performance and patient outcomes in 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐲. With early feasibility demonstrated, we are now moving toward 𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞-𝐮𝐩, with a focus on 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞-𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 (𝐋𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐬). We are seeking institutions that meet the following 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚: ● Perform at least one transsphenoidal pituitary surgery per month. ● Have at least two consultant-level neurosurgeons involved in pituitary surgery. ● Are in a low- or middle-income country (as per World Bank classification). ● Do not currently have an existing video-based surgical coaching program.
