Good Morning Family ๐ *Jesus' Words of Warning ๐* "If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you." John 15:18โ19 ๐ *The Reality of Hatred ๐* No one wants to be hated ๐ซ. Hatred is ugly, painful, and difficult to endure ๐. It's not just persecution, but also manipulation ๐คฏ. The world wants to win you over and away from God ๐. *The World's Influence ๐* To "belong to the world" means being negatively influenced by its lies ๐. Secular media, pop-culture, biased opinions, and social pressures seek to misguide us ๐คฏ. We're tempted to believe fulfillment comes from money ๐ธ, physical appearance ๐ , recognition ๐, and more. *Freedom from Manipulation ๐* Jesus' words are freeing ๐. They free us from manipulation and deception when we live our faith openly ๐ฏ. Expecting hatred from the world brings peace of heart when it happens ๐. *Reflection and Prayer ๐ค* Reflect on Jesus' words today ๐. If you face hatred, know you're more like Christ ๐. All that matters is what our Lord thinks ๐ฏ. *Prayer ๐* My persecuted Lord ๐, You endured hatred and ridicule ๐. Help me share in Your life of love and mercy โค๏ธ, and give me strength during times of persecution ๐ช. Take me out of the world and bring me close to You ๐. Jesus, I trust in You ๐ฏ. May Jesus' words bring you peace and courage!
Genesis 6:13-16 *Noah's ark* In a world that's filled with turmoil and pain We need a refuge, a sanctuary to gain A place where we can hide from the storm outside And find peace and solace, where love will reside Prayer is our ark, our vessel of grace A shelter from the floodwaters of life's wild pace A place where we can cry out, and be heard A refuge where God's love, our souls can enfold Just as Noah's ark saved lives, from the flood's mighty roar Prayer saves our souls, from the waves of life's turbulent shore So let us enter, this ark of prayer And find salvation, in God's loving care.
Good Morning Family ๐ Jesus said to his disciples: โWhoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.โ John 14:23โ24 ๐ *The Mystery of the Trinity ๐คฏ* The Father and the Son are One ๐ฏ. Their unity is perfect in every way ๐. They share one divine nature ๐, yet are distinct Persons ๐ฅ. The mystery of the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is a mystery so deep that we will never fully comprehend Them ๐ค. God desires to come and dwell within us ๐. If we love God and keep His Word, the Trinity will come to us and dwell within us ๐. โWhoever loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him.โ ๐ Obedience to the Word of God is the best expression of love we can offer to God โค๏ธ. When we understand God's Truth and live by it, then this is love ๐. Loving obedience will result in the indwelling of the Most Holy Trinity in our souls ๐. Reflect on your calling to become a dwelling place for God ๐. Ponder obedience ๐. Tell God you will obey His every command of love โค๏ธ. Look at your actions and consider any ways you fail in obedience to all that our Lord has commanded ๐ค. *Prayer ๐* Most Holy Trinity, Unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, come dwell within me ๐. I pray for the gift of love of You, expressed through my obedience to Your every command that is revealed through Your holy Word ๐. May I become more fully aware of every way I delay in my obedience so that I may change my ways and open myself more fully to You ๐. Jesus, I trust in You ๐ฏ. ๐๐ May this reflection deepen your understanding of God's unity and your relationship with Him!
*Good Morning Family ๐* Inspired by John 15:14โ15 ๐, let's reflect on Jesus' definition of friendship. To some, it may seem odd ๐ค. He says that we are His friends only when we do what He commands us to do ๐. Imagine saying that to one of your best friends ๐ค. Such a statement would most likely be met with a laugh ๐ and dismissal as foolishness ๐. Jesus is the only one Who can base your friendship upon obedience to His holy will ๐. Why? Because of the nature of what He commands you to do ๐. Jesus is pure Truth โจ. What He wills is the perfection of love โค๏ธ. Therefore, His statement that you are only His friend if you do what He commands you to do teaches that friendship is based on the truth In regard to your friendship with others, each true friendship can only be based on that which God wills for friends ๐. This means you are only willing to establish a friendship upon the truth ๐ฏ. It means you are only willing to share a relationship based upon selfless, sacrificial, self-giving mercy ๐ค, compassion โค๏ธ, honesty ๐, and love ๐. Reflect, today, upon your understanding of friendship ๐ค. Begin with your friendship with God, but then also ponder your friendship with others ๐ซ. Do you love our Lord in the way that He commands? ๐ If you can love God and others in conformity with the dictates of true love โค๏ธ, then your friendships will produce an eternity of deep fulfillment ๐. *Prayer* My divine Lord ๐, You call me to a friendship with You based only on the dictates of pure and holy love โค๏ธ. I thank You for this command of love ๐ and accept this invitation ๐. Help me, Lord, to continually deepen my friendship with You in accord with the truths of love ๐ and help me to base all my friendships only on the commands of this holy love ๐. Jesus, I trust in You ๐ฏ. ๐๐ In Jesus Name Amen ๐ May this reflection inspire you to nurture meaningful relationships! ๐
