Government has today announced that electricity tariffs will increase by an average of 8% for the 2025/26 financial year and 7% for 2026/27. The Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA) has approved a 14.1% electricity tariff hike, following an initial 25% request by the Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC). The hike approval has been announced by the ESERA CEO Sikhumbuzo Tsabedze today. More on #EBISNews

The 2024 EGCSE (Form 5) pass rate has increased by 0.90% compared to 2023. In 2023, the pass rate was 88.33% while in 2024 it increased to 89.23% as announced by Minister for Education Owen Nxumalo today.
