The Rich Tailor Story In one of the poor villages, there was an old tailor; this man was the only tailor in the village, and he sewed clothes for all the villagers at good prices. One day, a resident of the village came to him and said: "You have a lot of money, so why not help the poor? The village butcher doesn't have half of what you have, and every day he gives the poor meat without taking money from them." The tailor replied: "God knows human intentions, and He is the only one who has the right to hold us accountable for our money." The man was very angry, left the tailor in annoyance, and spread rumors among the villagers that the tailor was a stingy person who loved money and refused to help the poor. Days passed, the tailor fell ill, and no one from the village visited him. The tailor died alone without anyone asking about him. A month after the tailor's death, the butcher stopped sending meat to the poor. When the villagers asked him why, he told them: "The meat that I was distributing was not from my personal money. The village tailor used to give me a large amount of money every month to distribute meat to the poor, and after his death, there is no free meat anymore." Moral of the story: Don't interfere in other people's affairs; everyone is free to do whatever they want as long as they do not harm you.

Heavenly Father, We come before You this Saturday morning with heavy hearts, seeking Your divine peace amid the unrest that unfolded the other day. Lord, You are our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. We lift our nation to You, praying for calm in the hearts of all people. Where there is anger, Lord, sow seeds of understanding. Where there is destruction, let Your healing begin. Where fear lingers, replace it with Your perfect peace. We pray for those who have suffered loss — of property, of safety, of peace of mind. Comfort them, Lord. Shield the innocent and guide our leaders and communities toward dialogue, justice, and reconciliation. Help us to be agents of peace wherever we go today. May our words be gentle, our actions be kind, and our presence bring calm to those around us. We trust in Your promise that even in the storm, You are with us. Let this day unfold under the covering of Your mercy and grace. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
