This marked the Fifth Sitting of the Second Session of the Fourth Parliament. 🏛 The sitting was presided over by the Deputy Speakers of Parliament: ‘Hon.’ Magdalene Aduako (Youth MP for Ashanti–Mampong and Second Deputy Speaker) and ‘Hon.’ Constantina Agbenorlawoduga (Youth MP for Okere and Acting First Deputy Speaker). 🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️ Their leadership ensured order and structure throughout the session. ⚖️ Parliamentary business conducted during the sitting included 📌 official communications, 👥 introductions, 📊 presentation of reports and financial accounts on the recent 4th Anniversary Celebration, and 🗳 announcements concerning nominations for the upcoming 5th Parliament. 📅 A special AU Day statement was delivered in commemoration of African unity and development 🌍, followed by an inspiring address from the MP for Ho Central, Hon. Edem Richmond Kofi Kpotosu 🎤. The theme for the evening was: “Redefining Spirituality with Technology: The Blended Tech-Social Life.” The session featured Mr. Osborn Martin Gatugbe, Chief Director of the Somnia Osbrain Foundation and Volta Regional Chairperson of UNYA-GH, as the guest speaker. With a unique blend of insight and inspiration, Mr. Gatugbe explored how young people can balance their spiritual values while embracing the digital age, highlighting the synergy between faith, innovation, and social connectivity.
