🫣 There is a disease so contagious that if a child infected with it walks into a classroom every classmate who is not vaccinated against this disease will most certainly get it.
Did you guess the disease? We’re talking about measles.
⚠️ Measles is not just a rash, it’s a very serious infection that can put your child in the hospital. Last year alone, 110,000 children died from measles.
Measles can cause:
👁️ Blindness
👂🏼 Deafness
🫁 Pneumonia
🧠 Brain infection
Measles and the complications it causes are devastating, but completely preventable through vaccination.
🎉 WHO has estimated that more than 60 million lives were saved since 2000 because of measles vaccination. It’s very safe and incredibly effective.
💉 Two doses of measles vaccination is needed to get close to 100% protection.
