Jelajah Malaysia Digital continues its journey to the ‘negeri jelapang padi’; Kedah Darul Aman. The initiative was attended by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, alongside Datuk Fadzli Abdul Wahit, MDEC’s Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation, who led the MDEC team and delegation. Key officials from the Kedah state government, the Ministry of Agriculture & Food Security (KPKM), the Department of Fisheries Malaysia (DOF), Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP), Agrobank, Khazanah Berhad, and other key agricultural stakeholders were also present. As part of the event, attendees visited Arca Biru Sdn Bhd, an aquaculture farm at the Kedah Aquaculture Complex, Ayer Hitam, Kedah. The visit showcased the implementation of the Malaysia Digital (MD) AgTech system, powered by AI and developed by our AgTech partner, Pacton Technologies Sdn Bhd. With ongoing nationwide deployments and training in Digital AgTech, MDEC continues to welcome cross-sector collaborations. This aligns with our role as the National Strategic Technology Validator, as appointed by KPKM, and supports key national initiatives such as the National Agrofood Policy 2021-2030 (NAP 2.0), the National Food Security Blueprint (NFSB), and the National Council of Digital Economy & 4IR (MED4IRN).
