Jelajah Malaysia Digital (JMD) continues its journey to Sandakan, Sabah, with key focus on Digital Agriculture Technology (AgTech). The programme was attended by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital, alongside YB Datuk Chan Foong Hin, Deputy Minister of Plantation and Commodities. Also present were Datuk Mohd Hanafiah Bin Mohd Kassim, Secretary General, Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation Sabah, Datuk Azah Hanim Binti Ahmad, Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), and Datuk Ts. Fadzli Abdul Wahit, Head of Digital Transformation at MDEC, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food Industries of Sabah (MAFFI). This programme is also supported by MDEC's strategic partners, such as the Department of Agriculture Malaysia (DOA), Department of Veterinary Services (DVS), Department of Fisheries Malaysia (DOF), Farmers' Organization Authority (LPP), Agrobank, SEDIA, and other industry players within Malaysia's Digital AgTech ecosystem. MDEC remains committed to nationwide Digital AgTech deployments and training while fostering cross-sector collaborations. As the National Strategic Technology Validator appointed by KPKM, we support key national initiatives, including the National Agrofood Policy 2021-2030 (NAP 2.0), the National Food Security Blueprint (NFSB), and the National Council of Digital Economy & 4IR (MED4IRN).
