Nine Baloch Youth Forcibly Disappeared in a Single Day of Military Raids in Pasni
On February 10, 2025, around 3:00 AM, Pakistani security forces carried out multiple raids and search operations across different areas of Pasni, district Gwadar. These operations resulted in the enforced disappearance of nine Baloch youth, further escalating the ongoing human rights crisis in Balochistan.
The details of the forcibly disappeared individuals are as follows:
1. Maqbool Akram (Resident of Ward. 6)
2. Saleem Raza (Resident of Ward. 6)
3. Naseeb Suwali (Resident of Ward. 6)
4. Fasail Suwali (Resident of Ward. 6)
5. Sajid Suwali (Resident of Ward. 6)
6. Ali Baloch (Resident of Ward. 5)
7. Ahmed Raza (Resident of Ward. 6)
8. Saleh Riaz (Resident of Ward. 3)
9. Zaman s/o Pullan (Resident of Pidrak, currently living in Ward. 1, Kolanch Mohalla)
Additionally, on February 8, 2025, two brothers, Naseem and Washdil, sons of Pathan, were forcibly taken from the Chakuli Kulanch region of Pasni. After two days in illegal custody, they were released today.
The Pakistani forces continue to use enforced disappearances as a weapon of war against the Baloch people. These abductions have instilled widespread fear among the residents of Pasni, who are now living under constant siege. The systematic targeting of Baloch youth through search operations exposes the state’s policy of collective punishment, aimed at crushing resistance and silencing voices demanding justice.
The Baloch Yakjehti Committee strongly condemns these illegal abductions and demands the immediate release of all the forcibly disappeared persons. We urge human rights organizations, media, and civil society to take urgent notice of these grave violations and hold the Pakistani state accountable for its crimes against the Baloch people.
