Today, the sole proprietor of a workshop (“Stealth Film Workz Pte Ltd”) was convicted for illegally modifying vehicles to install non-compliant tinted films on windscreens and windows. He was charged under section 5(5) of the Road Traffic Act 1961 for three separate illegal installations between 2023 and 2024. 🚫 Workshops or motorists who illegally modify or use such vehicles can be fined up to $5,000, imprisoned up to 3 months, or both. The penalties for repeat offenders are doubled.
