With my PAP Yio Chu Kang activists, we spent the entire morning spreading festive blessings in our community! From the lively stalls at 628 Market to the bustling coffeeshops nearby, we handed out mandarin oranges—a traditional symbol of prosperity and good fortune—to stallholders and residents, wishing everyone a joyful and prosperous Chinese New Year. The highlight of the day was seeing the bright smiles of children as we gave out colorful balloons alongside the oranges. Their joy and laughter truly brought the festive spirit to life, reminding us of the warmth and vibrancy that make Yio Chu Kang so special. It was heartening to see so many smiling faces as families prepared for the celebrations. The Year of the Snake reminds us of the importance of wisdom, resilience, and transformation—qualities that unite and strengthen our Yio Chu Kang community.
