𝗔 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲. For years, residents in Yio Chu Kang have asked for a sheltered connection along AMK Ave 4, and I’m thrilled to share that it’s finally happening. The high-covered linkway between Blocks 631 and 610 is now under construction, with completion slated for March 2025. Once ready, residents in Zones 5 and 6 (Blocks 601 to 619) will enjoy a fully sheltered pathway to key community hubs like the 628 Market—come rain or shine. And that’s not all. This linkway will also connect seamlessly to the upcoming Yio Chu Kang Community Club, a space designed to bring residents together. The journey here wasn’t without its challenges. Delays due to checks on underground utilities and approvals tested our patience, but they also highlighted the importance of getting things right for the long term. This project is about more than just convenience. It’s about creating a neighborhood where the small, thoughtful changes reflect how much we care for one another’s everyday needs.
