Master of Arts in Peace and Security Studies (MA-PSS) ➡️ This is a one-year programme that provides in-depth and unique insights into the changing nature and fundamental challenges of contemporary security issues from a distinctly peace perspective. ➡️ The programme will explore the conceptual, historical, and policy issues surrounding peace and security and how these manifest themselves in the wider context of contemporary international security, aiming to produce graduates who have the necessary technical skills and practical perception of the challenges of the duties assigned. ➡️ The programme offers the learner knowledge and core skills in building and conflict resolution, national and global security challenges, peace and sustainable development, public international law and the law of armed conflict, international relations and diplomacy, disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration, intelligence and security, gender, peace and security, human security in post-conflict interventions, the geo-political environment, patriotism, and national interest. ➡️ The programme is flexible and convenient as it considers employees working in the private and public sectors due to the Blended Learning Model (BLM). With the BLM approach, the students who are not able to attend physical classes can choose to learn and accomplish all assignments through online essentials like Moodle and Zoom. ➡️ This programme is available at the Arusha and Dar es Salaam campuses both physically and blended model.
