🔆 Mascho Piro Tribe 📍 Location: ✅ Nomadic hunter-gatherers in the Amazon jungles, near Peru’s border with Brazil and Bolivia. ✅ Live along the Las Piedras River in Alto Purús National Park, in palm leaf huts. In the rainy season, they move to rainforest huts. 📍 Population: ✅ Estimated to be over 750, making them one of the largest uncontacted tribes in the Amazon and Southeast Asia. 📍 Contact Policy: ✅ Prohibited contact to prevent the spread of diseases to which they may lack immunity. 📍 Way of Life: ✅ Wear minimal clothing: yellowish-brown cloth above the waist, arm and leg bands. ✅ Medium stature, athletic build, and straight black hair, worn shoulder-length or longer. 📍 Territorial Protection: ✅ Madre de Dios Territorial Reserve (2002) established to protect their land, though parts of it have been sold for timber and resources. #art_and_culture
