*Chocolate & Nut Brownies* _by Rumbie from ZimboKitchen_ If you're a lover of chocolate I have something for you today! These chocolate brownies are so easy to prepare and only take about 25 min in the oven. The nuts bring in a lovely crunchy texture to the whole bake which is something you can have in mind when baking! (You can add texture by adding ingredients such as nuts and dried fruit. This adds to the enjoyment of your baked product.) Absolutely fantastic!! Makes: 16 Takes: 25 min *Serving Suggestion:* Enjoy for dessert with custard or with just a cup of your preferred beverage. *========* *GET This* *========* 125g plain flour 1 cup old fashioned brown sugar ½ cup pecan nuts, chopped 2 eggs, lightly beaten 200g dark chocolate 4 tbsp margarine Extra chocolate for drizzling (optional) *=======* *DO This* *=======* 1. Get your ingredients together. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a square baking tin with baking paper and lightly grease it then set aside. Sift the flour into a bowl and again set aside. 2. Break up the chocolate into a saucepan. Add margarine and stir over low heat using a wooden spoon until both the chocolate and margarine have melted. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for about 2 min. 3. Add the chopped pecans and sugar. Mix until well incorporated. Add the lightly beaten eggs and mix well again. 4. Take set aside sifted flour and add it to the mixture. Mix well. Spread the batter into your prepared cake tin. 5. Bake in preheat oven for 25-30 min or until skewer comes out clean when inserted. When the time has elapsed and cake is done, allow it to cool in the tin before cutting it into squares and dusting with icing sugar. You may even drizzle some chocolate over if you wish. Enjoy! *=======* Notes *=======* 1. If they're not being consumed immediately, you may store your brownies in an airtight container. 2. Butter or equal amounts oil may be used in place of the margarine. -3. Nuts of your preference may be used in place of the pecan nuts. 4. Alternatively, if you have an allergy to nuts you may use dessicated coconut or any dried fruit of your choice. 5. Self-raising flour may be used in place of the plain flour. *=======* ZimboKitchen © 2025. All Rights Reserved. *=======*
