*Big leadership changes at EcoCash!* *Chibi out, Nyambirai in* Eddie Chibi who has been CEO at the company since at least 2018 has resigned from his position, and in his place Tawanda Nyambirai appointed, a long time Strive Masiyiwa business connect since early Econet days in the 90s. It's not clear if Chibi remains in the company or is out completely. Nyambirai has been around Econet for a long time, both as a lawyer and in business. Steward Bank, which falls under EcoCash, was actually acquired from him in 2013. `Stay updated. It will be interesting the new ideas he has for EcoCash in this new era where new competitors Innbucks, OMari, Mukuru and others are aggressively fighting to take EcoCash marketshare. A lot has changed since 2013. *Mandivenga out* Darlington Mandivenga (an Econet oldie) who led the establishment of EcoCash as a business aggressively growing it to quickly the local payments behemoth it became, has also resigned. He had remined at EcoCash (Cassava at one point) even after eventually leaving on the ground operations in Zimbabwe. *Board shakeup* in total 8 directors have resigned (including chairperson) and 10 directors appointed. `thank you:` https://x.com/investors_zw/
