Many financial education initiatives, in schools and the workplace in particular, have been created over the past decade. And yet still financial literacy remains extremely poor. An FT Adviser article reported that nearly 24mn adults have poor financial literacy. Maps says that 22mn people do not know enough about money to plan for their retirement, and 11.5mn people have less than £100 in savings.
