*Morning Devotion :Play your part👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽* ‭‭Acts 3:[2] And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; KJV‬‬ Munenyasha Mwari - You are merciful, Lord. Thank you Jesus, none of us was and is qualified to step into your shoes. When you died on the Cross, you did not carry a list of those you were dying for. You had only two words in mind, all sinners. Father, help me to have such a heart. A heart that does not select who to love, who to forgive, who to give and who to laugh with. A heart that has love, that runs across church denominations. May the Holy Spirit help me love enough to qualify to be called a child of God, let alone his servant. In Jesus's name, amen. 2 Kings 2:23-25, when you take the story as written without digging into what those 42 little children stood for, Elisha failed to forgive when mocked. He called for two bears that came out of the bush and tore the little children to death. He was going into Bethel, a city where Jacob had an awesome dream. A city that was called the House of God. Yet, Jesus was not only mocked, he was whipped, he was spat at, he was called names, he was nailed to the Cross. As this was not enough, they pushed down on his head a crown made of thorns. If it was this generation of human rights, the Romans would have a case to answer. Jesus knew there was more to gain in forgiveness than revenge. Let go, you have more to gain in forgiving than reparation. Let us come back to our devotion of today. You have a part to play in achieving your healing, your success and even your happiness. There are many things that frustrate your progress in life. Remember, gold is surrounded by dirty mud and rock. In this generation, they use gold detectors or scanners. Maiwe, they don't give up, even if they encounter other metals that might be a decoy. They don't give up until gold is in the vault. May the Holy Spirit be our detector to help us in finding that relationship with God which is priceless. Even if we find riches along the way, let that not be a decoy to mislead us away from our goal. For more than forty years (Acts 4:22), the crippled man did not refuse to be taken to the Beautiful Gate. He could have said to his relatives, “I am tired!!” Or “Can we go for the 3pm group of temple visitors?” Lord, I am tired, I have been married for 22 years now, but no child, I am tired. Abraham could have said that. I have Ishmael, and now of advanced age, what do I need in the bedroom, if not sleep? PLAY YOUR PART CHILD OF GOD. I am sure Abraham did not even know that Sarah had caught the flame, until he saw her body taking a different shape. Faith is not by seeing the pregnancy grow, it begins from seeing a frail Sarah coming into bed. OMG, Sarah was now different from Hagar. That beauty which led Abraham to lie that she was his sister was no more. Yet he went on to play his part. Preach with me this morning. You have been waiting. Yes, you have been. You have witnessed others get exactly what you are looking for, easily. Same qualifications, they have been changing companies, and yet, you have sent CVs, even to non existing companies, and your inbox receives no reply. Do you know that even Jesus Christ passed by this very spot and still the crippled man remained unhealed? Yet, he continued to come. Many things will frustrate you so that you change location. Maiwe, Holy Spirit, are you seeing me!! The crippled man would obviously arrive way ahead of the 9.am prayer time. That was his part. But, one day, the begging bowl was empty, yet, the limbs were about to be restored to what they were supposed to be at birth. Your restoration is on the way. Listen, this is no religious rhetoric, I am not going to ask for an offering after the full stop. I am telling you what I believe. Your day is coming, Hannah continued to go to Shiloh from Ramah, 24 kilometres one way, I am sure by foot. Yet. Peninah continued to smile. She did not give up. Until that day when she returned to the temple alone. May the Holy Spirit trigger you to make the right decision at the right time.
