❓ *Question: "We are confused as to what the Arabic test on the bottom right corner entails... do you know if this would this mean that foreign students at Umm Al-Qura university will not be entitled to attending the Mahad [institute of Arabic Language] before starting up their degree?"* ✏️Answer: Honestly, I don’t have a definitive answer to this question. In the past, Umm Al Qura didn’t accept such a large number of students, so those who didn’t speak Arabic typically started their studies at the Institute of Arabic Language through the العربية بين يديك program (now they have their own program). I'm unsure how things will change moving forward or if there will be enough spots at the institute for all the new students wanting to learn Arabic. It’s also possible they might require Arabic language tests, and those who don’t pass may not be able to enroll in the faculty. What I can say is that studying Arabic now would be the best thing to do. I’m not sure about your current level, but if you have some foundational Arabic knowledge you could potentially improve it enough to pass the test and gain admission to the faculty (assuming if they won’t offer courses at the Institute of Arabic Language). والله أعلم
