*BANKING TITBITS:#578* *IC/58/2025-PERMANENT BLOCKING OF CREDIT CARD UNDER SMA1* The competent authority has instructed for permanent deactivation of credit cards where overdue of the account crossed more than 30 days DPD. To enhance the quality of bank's credit card portfolio & proactively address the issue of customers habitually becoming delinquent due to non-payment of dues,cards will be permanently block when the outstanding liability move from SMA0 to SMA1 category(31–60 Days Past Due). Once deactivated, these cards will remain permanently blocked & will not be reactivated.
