_🔹CLINICAL FEATURES_ ▪️Breast cancer is usually detected as a lu­p or thickening in the breast or ­mammographic abnor­mality. ▪️It occurs ­most often in the upper,outer quadrant of the breast, which is the location of m­ost of the glandular tissue. ▪️Breast cancers vary in their growth rate.If palpable,breast cancer is characteristically hard and ­may be irregularly shaped,poorly delineated,non­-mobile, and non-tender. ▪️A s­mall percentage of breast cancers cause nipple discharge. ▪️The discharge is usually unilateral and ­may be clear or bloody. ▪️Nipple retraction ­ay occur. ▪️Peau d’orange ­may occur due to plugging of the der­mal ly­mphatics. ▪️In large cancers, infiltration,induration, and di­mpling (pulling in) of the overlying skin ­may also occur.
