Press Release Grand Reception of Hon’ble Chief Executive Member of CADC, Shri Molin Kumar Chakma, at Kamalanagar Kamalanagar, 1st February 2025: A grand and historic reception was held today at Kamalanagar, the headquarters of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), to welcome Hon’ble Chief Executive Member (CEM) Shri Molin Kumar Chakma upon his return from Aizawl. He was accompanied by Shri Durjya Dhan Chakma, District President of BJP, CADC, MDC Shri Amit Bayan Chama, and other colleagues. Shri Molin Kumar Chakma was officially appointed as the new Chief Executive Member of CADC following the approval of the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram on 31st January 2025. The appointment order was issued by the Secretary, District Council & Minority Affairs, Government of Mizoram, on behalf of the Governor. This significant political development marks the first time in the history of CADC that a BJP-led government has been formed with an absolute majority, following the joining of MDCs from Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) and Mizo National Front (MNF) into the BJP. The reception witnessed an overwhelming gathering of hundreds of BJP karyakartas, who attended the program with immense enthusiasm and excitement. Addressing the massive crowd, Shri Molin Kumar Chakma assured the people that CADC would now have a strong and stable government dedicated to the welfare and development of the region. He emphasized that the primary objective of forming a BJP-led administration is to ensure good governance, progress, and prosperity for CADC. He also stated that he will work in full cooperation with the party and all his fellow MDCs. He believes that with the guidance and support of the District President, Shri Durjya Dhan Chakma, who is also the former CEM and has vast experience, along with the leadership of the State President, Shri Vanlalhmuaka Ji, and the Central Leaders of the BJP, they will strive to fulfill the aspirations of the people of CADC by ensuring overall infrastructural development. He is confident that all his colleagues in the MDC will extend their full cooperation and support to his leadership in achieving this shared vision. Shri Durjya Dhan Chakma, District President of BJP, CADC, also addressed the gathering, expressing his firm belief that all the MDCs who joined from ZPM and MNF have placed their trust in the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and Hon’ble National President of BJP Shri J.P. Nadda Ji. He appealed to all MDCs to remain united and confident in their mission to build a historic and stable government, as stability is the key to the overall development of CADC. Shri Durjya Dhan Chakma further congratulated Shri Molin Kumar Chakma on receiving the Governor’s approval as the new CEM of CADC and expressed confidence in his leadership to guide CADC towards a new era of progress. The swearing-in ceremony of the Hon’ble CEM is expected to take place on Tuesday, the 4th of February 2025.
