*vocal for local* Good morning Changlang dist! I am sharing this positive story today in which SHG members and villagers capitalised on festival celebrations to showcase their products and earn a living. Story is of Lolim handloom cluster who are the hands behind beautiful bamboo baskets in which all the vvip including Hon CM, Hon DCM and Hon Minister were felicitated with local products during the Pangsau Pass International Festival as a token of gratitude. They were also able to sell their products in Saras mela and the stalls in PPIF open for general public. When local handicrafts receive such attention and benefits, it’s bound to thrive and help preserve culture apart from providing livelihood. The entire credit goes to BMM Nampong led by Rani Linggi and her team for making this possible. I urge people of Changlang to reach out their SHG mothers involved in handicrafts cluster to get such items made for the event of their choice and help in this noble cause. The lolim handicraft products would also be available in the weekly market in Nampong soon
