Monsoon is about to start and like every year it’s the most difficult time for DA as it poses a lot of challenges to delivery of essential services to general public due to various logistical challenges that come with natural disasters such as landslides, mudslides, floods etc. From the lessons learned last year this time DA is conducting *monsoon preparedness meeting in each subdivision in February itself* unlike other years when it’s done way late in may/june. Various imp directions are being issued such as 1. *Public Advisory Circulation*: GPC, GB, and CRC to ensure wide dissemination in schools and village forums. 2. *Tree Trimming*: Forest Dept. to trim trees threatening life and property; Electrical & PHED to trim those affecting power and water supply. 3. *Health Survey*: ASHA & Anganwadi to conduct a joint survey on monsoon-related diseases monthly and report to the nearest health center (CDPO & MOIC). 4. *Essential Supplies*: DFSCO & MOIC to stock medicines and PDS rice to reduce shortages.
