*It’s really crazy how far India has come when it comes to petrochemicals* 🙏🙏 From being 100% import dependent, to the Govt’s establishment of NOCIL in 1960s and IPCL in 1970, to the rise of Reliance, and then the explosion of specialty chemicals players. The country has come a long way. From building these capacities to substitute imports, to building larger and newer capacities with export markets in mind, India has come a long way. And be it public sector giants like GAIL, or private sector titans like Reliance and Tata Chemicals, or smaller private sector players like Aarti Industries, India is now home to serious contenders vying for the global play. And in the 4th edition of BharatNama, EMotorad’s cofounder Sumedh and I delve into all of this and more, decoding how Indian petrochem industry has evolved over the years, and to what scale. *CAUTION:* This is the longest BharatNama edition so far, but also the one with maximum amount of research that went in. *Read it all here:* https://t.ly/NyHQh
