*I believe, Zomato’s management is not telling investors the truth because it will tank the stock 🙏🙏* And not just them, in the last 4 days, many popular analysts have also written much about the slowdown in Zomato’s food delivery biz. They have all pinned the slower growth on the slowdown in demand in the economy. *And I am saying it outright* - They are all wrong! .. *See, on 1 January, I shared a detailed prediction for 2025 here and on LinkedIn.* -> That was all about how this is the year when Swiggy and Zomato’s food delivery duopoly will be broken and disrupted -> And, I had raised the same points in a detailed note in Dec and Oct as well And what I said in those posts is the real cause driving down the slowdown for Zomato and Swiggy 🙏🙏 .. *What was the point?* ONDC - Which is still wrongly written off by many. If you look at numbers and not narratives, Zomato and Swiggy have already been disrupted. In November, food delivery on ONDC had already grown as big as 9-10% of Zomato or Swiggy’s daily order volumes. Had ONDC not existed, 9-10% of daily order volume would have added to Zomato and Swiggy’s growth 🙏🙏 And that would have made things very different. .. *That is a huge deal, which the media and brokerage reports have totally missed.* -> Thus, the surprise has been something public for some time now for those with ears to the ground -> In my deepdive of 1 January, I had clearly shared how people in Zomato have known this since September They just can’t say this out in the open because the stock prices and valuations will take a massive hit 🙏🙏 *But the question is* - Why are brokerages and analysts not asking questions?
