February 13 - 14, 2025. In an effort to war against Gender Based Violence and its flock in Nigeria, Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development empowered 30 young women across Abuja Municipal Area Council, Bwari and Kuje Area Council with the skills and knowledge to advocate for gender equality and female empowerment.
The two-day Mentor HER to Greatness Fellowship Program with support from the Government of Ireland through the Embassy of Ireland Nigeria highlighted personal growth and career development, leadership and advocacy, and the main concept of the programme - gender equality and the elimination of gender-based violence.
Through interactive workshops and panel discussions, participants gained valuable insights into effective advocacy strategies, leadership skills, and personal development. The program also emphasized the importance of creating safe spaces for women and girls, promoting their rights, and amplifying their voices in decision-making processes.
By the end of the fellowship, each participant developed an action plan to initiate positive change within their communities, demonstrating the transformative impact of the Mentor HER to Greatness Fellowship Program.
