Kariba Power Station, which operates primarily as a peaking plant, will be managed carefully to address periods of low supply caused by the maintenance. "The output from Kariba will be adjusted as and when necessary to conserve water for future use, ensuring a balanced and sustainable energy mix." ZESA Holdings apologized to its customers for any inconveniences the maintenance may cause. "We would like to sincerely apologize to our valued customers for any inconveniences that will be caused during this period," the company said. –AfroGazette
