On February 26, Argentine President Javier Milei issued a presidential decree to fill two Supreme Court vacancies.
The decision came after President Milei failed, for months, to muster the two-thirds Senate majority needed to fill the vacancies under normal procedures.
This decision is one of the most serious attacks on the independence of Argentina's Supreme Court since the country’s return to democracy. https://bit.ly/4biBbbO
