NITI Aayog's Skill Development and Employment Division organised a Roundtable Discussion on Strengthening Apprenticeships in India today. The discussion was chaired by Dr. Arvind Virmani, Member, NITI Aayog. The deliberations focused on fostering collaboration among key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, the National Skill Development Corporation, State Governments, Sector Skill Councils, the International Labour Organization, GIZ, industry bodies, and other experts. Participants shared insights on enhancing apprenticeship frameworks, leveraging best practices to create a more robust and inclusive skill development ecosystem. The roundtable served as a vital platform for exchanging perspectives and formulating strategic recommendations to strengthen apprenticeships in India, reinforcing the nation’s commitment to a skilled workforce and sustainable economic growth.
