Strengthening Water Resource Management in Madhya Pradesh Under its #SarovarSamriddhi pilot, NITI Aayog has commenced the rejuvenation work at Pakhalya Nistar Talab Kramank I, Pakhalya Village, Ziranya Aspirational Block, Khargone District, Madhya Pradesh, on 16th May 2025. The initiative aims to promote sustainable water management practices and strengthen long-term water resilience at the village level. सरोवर समृद्धि, Rejuvenation of 1,000 Water Bodies (RWB) is a NITI Aayog intervention aimed at ensuring local water security and sustainable water management. This initiative focuses on reviving traditional lakes, ponds, and tanks to enhance groundwater recharge, support agriculture, and bolster community livelihoods. Emphasizing community participation and technological interventions—such as desilting, pollution control, and afforestation—#JalSamriddhi seeks to restore ecological balance and resilience.

We should focus on one goal, to make Bharat Viksit by 2047. We should have the aim of making each State Viksit, each city Viksit, each Nagar Palika Viksit and each village Viksit. If we work on these lines, we will not have to wait till 2047 to become Viksit Bharat: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi will chair the 10th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog on May 24, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on the theme, Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat@2047. The meeting provides a platform for the Centre and States/UTs to deliberate on measures to advance the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 and build consensus on how States can be the building blocks for making India a developed nation. Additionally, measures for promoting entrepreneurship, enhancing skilling, and creating sustainable employment opportunities across the country will also be deliberated in the meeting.
