*New greenfield road dedicated to Tata*
The projected cost of Phase 1 is Rs 1,665 crore and Rs 2,365 crore for Phase 2
The government (Telengana) announced the construction of a greenfield radial road, named after the late tycoon Ratan Tata, from the Tata Interchange on Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Raviryal to Regional Ring Road (RRR) at Amangal at a projected cost of Rs 4,030 crore.
Divided into two phases, the road will pass through Maheshwaram, Ibrahimpatnam, Kandukur, Yacharam, Kadthal and Amangal mandals of Rangareddy district, and will cross 14 villages.
With the project spanning 41.5 km, Phase 1 will cover 19.2 km from Tata Interchange on ORR at Raviryal to Meerkhanpet. Phase 2, covering 22.3 km, will go from Meerkhanpet to RRR at Amangal.
The projected cost of Phase 1 is Rs 1,665 crore and Rs 2,365 crore for Phase 2.
The government has issued the construction task of the Ratan Tata road to Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited (HGCL), and invited bids from reputed agencies and bidders for undertaking the project.
