13 February 2025 Ndera FM News Chipembere Invitational Tournament Set to Kick Off This Friday By Christine Chiromo The eagerly awaited Chipembere Invitational Tournament will officially get underway this Friday, 16 February, at Nzvere Grounds, starting at 10:00 AM. The event promises an exciting day of football action, with local teams battling it out for supremacy in what is expected to be a thrilling competition. The tournament will feature two groups—Group A and Group B—with each group competing in round-robin matches. In Group A, fans can expect intense showdowns starting at 10:30 AM when Chipembere face off against Sailers. Following this, Whitehouse will take on New Stars at 11:50 AM, before Chipembere meet Whitehouse at 12:00 PM and Sailers play New Stars at 1:00 PM. In Group B, the action kicks off with Shining Stars facing Furamera at 10:30 AM, followed by Young Stars against Furamera at 11:50 AM. The final match of the group stages sees Young Stars take on Shining Stars at 12:00 PM. The tournament will then move into the knockout stages in the afternoon. The first semifinal is scheduled for 2:00 PM, where the winner of Group A will take on the runner-up from Group B. The second semifinal will follow, with Group B's winner facing the runner-up from Group A. At 3:00 PM, the Losers’ Match will provide teams with a chance to compete for third place, before the finals kick off at 4:00 PM. The referees for the day include Ellen, Stephan, Nolar, and Bolo, ensuring fair play throughout the competition. Board members overseeing the tournament will include the Chairman, Board Member 1, and Board Member 2. This is an event not to be missed, with local talent taking center stage.
