15 February 2025 Ndera FM News Community Unites to Improve Chakadini Clinic Story by Beauty Katsenga Chihota- Ward 10 residents in Chihota, under Chief Nguwo's area, have come together to give Chakadini Clinic a much-needed boost. Led by the local Health Center Committee (HCC), community members contributed their time, resources, and skills to upgrade the clinic. Notable projects include a nutrition garden, where spinach and conflower are being grown, along with other nutritious crops. The garden provides fresh produce to the community. Other improvements include a new gate, a wheelchair ramp, and repaired windows. The HCC also secured uniforms for its members. The community has also decided to use part of the funds raised during the project to support the elderly in the area. This act demonstrates the community's commitment to caring for its most vulnerable members. The clinic's staff and patients have praised the initiative, noting improvements in healthcare services and morale. This project showcases the power of community-led initiatives, inspiring others to take ownership of their health facilities and create positive change.
