In a statement issued on February 22, 2025, the MUBA Chairman, Mr. Carlos Pindirire urged all businesses to take immediate action to avoid any disruptions to their operations. "We encourage all business owners to visit the council offices to settle their outstanding fees or to discuss a payment plan," he said. According to MUBA, failure to comply with the payment deadline may result in the council taking action, which could impact businesses. "We urge all businesses to take this matter seriously and settle their outstanding fees to avoid any unnecessary disruptions," Mr. Pindirire added.
