I don't know if I can try not to fall in love or if it's something I don't have control over. But for now, I honestly don't want to fall half-heartedly. I'm scared of the process, and I guess it's understandable to choose to keep myself from that harm. Maybe love isn't something to chase or avoid. Maybe it just happens when it's meant to. For now, I'm choosing to be careful, to protect my heart until I'm ready. If one day I find myself wanting to take that risk, then I'll know it's time. Until then, I'll let things unfold at their own pace.
