Speaking at the recent Digitruck launch President Emmerson Mnangagwa, said the initiative will leverage advanced technologies, including Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite services, to bridge the digital divide and promote inclusive access to information. Mobile financial services provider, OneMoney, has rolled out a major upgrade to its app, introducing new features aimed at improving user experience and financial accessibility. The update includes an invite-a-friend function for easier onboarding via WhatsApp, SMS, and email, as well as statement inquiries that allow users to view, download, and share transaction histories. Additionally, the app now supports no-PIN payments for small transactions and QR code payments for instant money transfers. Managing Director Joseph Machiva emphasized OneMoney’s commitment to bridging the gap between traditional banking and digital finance, positioning the platform as a key player in the country’s financial inclusion efforts. Zimbabwe and Israel have entered a strategic collaboration to enhance technological innovation, communications, and postal services, following a meeting between Minister of ICT, Hon. Tatenda Mavetera, and Israel's Ambassador Ronny Levi Musan. The partnership will foster knowledge exchange and infrastructure development, positioning Zimbabwe to leverage Israel’s advanced expertise in these sectors. Huawei has expanded the rollout of its February 2025 EMUI security update to all P60 Pro users globally. Initially available to a limited number of devices, the update now offers comprehensive security enhancements, addressing over 10 system vulnerabilities and more than 20 third-party library defects.
