*#mjslweekly* 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐖 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐀 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐀 . This study compares labour laws in Indonesia and Malaysia, focusing on historical growth, legal reforms, wage disparities, migrant workers, and occupational safety enforcement. Using a qualitative comparative analysis of primary legal documents, such as Indonesia's Omnibus Employment Creation Act and Malaysia's Employment Act 1955, findings reveal decentralization in Indonesia leads to uneven enforcement, while Malaysia's centralized system struggles to protect migrant workers. Both nations face challenges balancing economic growth and labour rights. The study highlights weak enforcement, informal sectors, and dispute resolution issues, offering policy recommendations for improved compliance and alignment with international labour standards. .
