This study investigates the future prospects of Islamic crowdfunding in Malaysia and its relationship with the Islamic banking industry. Semi-structured interviews with experts and practitioners reveal that Islamic crowdfunding complements, rather than threatens, Islamic banking. Strategic partnerships and collaborations between the two can unlock mutual benefits. While the findings may not represent all Malaysian crowdfunding operations, they provide valuable insights for enhancing industry practices. The study highlights the importance of empirical research, particularly qualitative approaches, to advance the understanding and development of Islamic crowdfunding. .
