*The significance of Stewardship* MATHEW 25:29 “To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away” (NLT VERSION) God has entrusted us with so much with the intention that we’d be great stewards over what he has entrusted us with, from the job, to the children, finances, to the gifts he has given us and so much more. From the above scripture the secret of unlocking true abundance lies in it “to those who use well what they’re given, even more will be given” the 1st thing we learn from here is being faithful and being a good stewardship unlocks an increase and blessings in abundance. The more we prove faithful to God the more he increases us 2. The latter indicates an inverse “ but from those who do nothing even what little they have will be taken away” resources/ all that God has trusted us with being taken away from the one who doesn't have emphasizes the diminishing nature of unused talents or opportunities. In God's economy, stagnation or neglect leads to loss. Faithful stewardship aligns with God's desire to bless and multiply, while neglect or mismanagement leads to consequences. Consequences become costly with growth When we look at the verse in Proverbs it adds onto this proverbs 13;4 “The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied." Being diligent and proactive with all that God entrusted you with and being a good steward (doing what God has commanded you to do without delay) activates abundant blessings while lack of effort or remaining dormant (not using what God has given you for his glory) results in lack & emptiness. As we, children of God navigate our journey of faith, may we be faithful stewards, actively engaging with the resources and opportunities God provides ( those opportunities are provided to all of us as we see in Ecclesiastes 9:11 “Again I saw that under the sun the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to the intelligent, nor favor to those with knowledge, *but time and chance happen to them all.”*) and experiencing the abundance that comes from a partnership with Him. So when serving God, utilise your gifts and all that God has entrusted you with. Let God not find you idling
