Abu Sa'īd al-Khūdrī (whom Allāh is well pleased with) reported that Angel Jibrīl came to Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ) and said, “Muḥammad, have you fallen ill?” The Prophet ﷺ said: “Yes.” So Jibrīl said: *“In the name of Allāh I perform Ruqyah upon you (seeking divine cure) from everything that harms you and from the evil of every soul, or from every envious eye, may Allāh cure you.
