*A very interesting and powerful conversation I had with a friend of mine. Read the DMs below ..👇👇👇*
Regarding unavailability to be found, and yet internally feeling the calling to have a relationship.
*I will say this;* No matter your disposition, companionship is a humans being's greatest need.
No matter what we go through, do, or choose, we will always desire to be in the company of someone we know wants us, loves us, cares for us, and is without much effort motivated to do things for us without asking.
This is a feeling that can never be substituted by:
- *choice:* for now I do not need a relationship
- *rhetoric:* I am single and contented.
- *career:* I need to first finish my degree, get a job
- *money:* I have money to get what I want, I don't neeed anyone.
It is a lie.
These things can never satisfy the deepest desire, which is:
- to be loved
- to be wanted
- to be coveted
- to be desired
- to be yearned for
- to know there's someone home who can't wait for you to arrive
- to know someone's next provision depends on you
- to be depended on
Etc....
It is therefore no shame to want to have a relationship, and thus pursue it with everything you have got, in order to have one.
It is not in anyone's desire to grow old alone.
